What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SV6016-7KK25 is a SENTRON-series AFDD-MCB combination unit — an arc-fault detection device and miniature circuit breaker in one compact 18 mm housing (1 modular width). It protects a 230 V AC final circuit at 25 A with a C-curve trip characteristic, and simultaneously detects series and parallel arc faults that a standard MCB alone would miss. The 6 kA breaking capacity (per EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2) is sized for residential and light-commercial distribution boards where the prospective fault current stays under that threshold.
Where it goes and how it mounts
Snaps onto a standard DIN rail (REG) and can be mounted in any position. The 68.5 mm depth plus 70 mm installation depth fits standard 18 mm-spaced enclosures; the IP20 rating assumes the distribution board is installed and conductors are connected. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction matters for panels in smoke-sensitive environments (public buildings, transit).
