The Siemens 5SV6016-7KP16 is a SENTRON AFDD-MCB combination unit — an arc fault detection device (AFDD) and miniature circuit breaker (MCB) in one compact housing, rated 230 V, 6 kA breaking capacity, 1+N poles, C-curve, 16 A, with a 1 MW pigtail for downstream wiring.
The 16 A thermal rating covers standard 2.5 mm² final circuits in most wiring regulations. The 1+N pole configuration switches both line and neutral, with overcurrent protection on the line pole only.
Integration and deployment
The compact 1 MW (18 mm per pole) footprint saves one module width compared to separate AFDD + MCB units — relevant when retrofitting arc fault protection into a full board. The pigtail (factory-attached neutral conductor) simplifies wiring: connect the line-side supply to the top terminal, the pigtail to the neutral busbar, and the load-side line and neutral to the outgoing circuit.
