The Siemens 5SV6016-7MC06 is a SENTRON AFDD-MCB combination — an arc-fault detection device and miniature circuit breaker in one compact unit. It's rated 230 V AC, 2-pole (1P+N), with a 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898-1 and a Class C tripping characteristic. That means it handles inrush from motorized or fluorescent loads without nuisance trips, and it interrupts arc faults upstream of the load — a single device for both overcurrent and series/parallel arc protection. The unit snaps onto a DIN rail (REG) and occupies just 1 modular width unit (18 mm wide, 90 mm tall, 68.5 mm deep). Mounting position is unrestricted, and the installation depth is 70 mm — it fits standard 80 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring behind the rail.
Metering and display
Built-in metering covers voltage, current, active power, apparent power, reactive power, active energy, line frequency, power factor, temperature, switching cycles, operating hours, tripping events, and warnings — all displayed on the front. Accuracy is 0.5 % for current and voltage, 1 % for active power, per IEC 61557-12, IEC 62053-22, and IEC 62053-23. The measurement is seamless, meaning it logs continuously, not just at trip events. A wireless protocol is supported, so the metering data can be pulled remotely — useful for energy monitoring or predictive maintenance without running additional signal wires.
