Arc-fault and residual-current protection in one module
Rated 6 kA breaking capacity, C-curve, 20 A, 1P+N, it fits a single DIN-rail width in the final distribution board.
The 20 A rating governs the continuous load the circuit can carry; size the upstream cable and MCB accordingly. The AFDD function monitors the waveform for the high-frequency signature of an arc fault — series (loose connection) or parallel (cracked insulation) — and trips before the arc can ignite surrounding material. This is required in many European national wiring regulations for circuits in sleeping-accommodation, care homes, and wooden buildings. The RCBO element provides 30 mA residual-current protection (implied by the RCBO designation; the evidence does not state the exact sensitivity, so verify the marking on the device).
DIN-rail integration note
The Compact (1MW) form factor occupies a single modular width — important for panel fill factor when multiple AFDD-RCBOs are ganged in a distribution board. The red i2 indicator signals the device has tripped on an arc fault (red) versus overcurrent or residual (other colors).
