The Siemens 5SY3008-7 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with 1P+N poles, a C-curve tripping characteristic, and an 8 A rated current at 230 V AC. The 4.5 kA breaking capacity (per EN 60898) tells you it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level at 230 V without welding contacts or cascading upstream. That's enough for most residential and light commercial distribution boards; if your prospective fault current is higher, you'd step to the 5SY6 series with 6 kA or 10 kA.
Snaps onto standard DIN rail (mounting type: standard rail), any mounting position. Width is 18 mm — that's one modular unit (1 MW), so it occupies a single slot in a distribution board.
