What the 10 A C-curve means for your panel
The Siemens SENTRON 5SY3110-7 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 10 A with a C-tripping characteristic, meaning it holds up to 5–10× rated current for magnetic trips — standard for mixed resistive and moderate inductive loads like contactor coils, small motors, and lighting circuits where inrush isn't extreme. The 4.5 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 covers most domestic and light commercial distribution boards; the 6 kA per IEC 60947-2 gives headroom for industrial panel SCCR requirements where the upstream transformer can deliver higher fault current. At 400 V AC it clears line-to-neutral faults; the DC rating of 72 V makes it usable in control-voltage circuits derived from a 48 V or 60 V battery bank.
