Rated current and breaking capacity — the selectivity foundation
Its breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 6 kA per IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC — the IEC 60947-2 figure is the one that governs industrial panel coordination when the upstream transformer can deliver that fault current. For DC circuits the breaker handles 15 kA at 72 V DC per IEC 60947-2, and it carries a 5 kA rating under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No.235 for North American installations. The 4.5 kA EN 60898 rating is the domestic/commercial standard; the 6 kA IEC 60947-2 rating is the one to use for industrial panel SCCR calculations.
Width is 18 mm (1 width unit), depth 76 mm, height 90 mm. Combined top and bottom terminals simplify daisy-chaining in distribution boards.
The breaker is sealable (tamper-evident) and rated overvoltage category III.
