The C-curve (tripping characteristic class C) means the breaker holds 5–10× rated current for short periods before tripping magnetically — typical for motor-starter and lighting circuits where inrush is moderate. At 3 A rated current, it is sized for small loads: control transformers, contactor coils, or single-phase auxiliary circuits drawing under 2.4 A continuous at 40 °C ambient (the derated value at 40 °C is 2.82 A).
Temperature derating — don't ignore it
This breaker carries a full temperature-derating table from the factory. At 35 °C it holds the full 3 A; at 40 °C it drops to 2.82 A; at 45 °C to 2.72 A; at 50 °C to 2.62 A; at 55 °C to 2.52 A; at 60 °C to 2.41 A.
Mounting position is unrestricted — horizontal, vertical, or inverted all within spec. The combined terminal at top and bottom accepts both busbar and conductor connections without re-termination.
Construction and compliance notes
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction, with sealable terminals and touch protection. Designed for railway applications per the product designation, so it meets the vibration and environmental endurance typical of EN 50155-derived requirements. The energy limitation class is 3, which limits let-through energy in a fault event.
