Designed for railway applications and mechanical engineering / industry, this breaker carries an overvoltage category III rating, meaning it is suitable for fixed-installation panels where transient overvoltages from the mains supply are expected.
Terminal capacity and wiring constraints
The screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 mm² up to 35 mm², with a tightening torque range of 2.5 to 3.5 N·m. Combined terminals at both top and bottom allow daisy-chaining or feed-through wiring without separate busbar connectors. The breaker is sealable for anti-tamper applications, and touch protection is built in — no exposed live parts when conductors are properly terminated. Ambient temperature range is -40 to +70 °C, storage -40 to +75 °C, with humidity derating: max 95% at 55 °C, 55% at 70 °C, 35% at 75 °C.
Material and compliance profile
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction reduces corrosive off-gassing in enclosed panels — relevant for food-and-bev or marine environments where outgassing can damage contacts. The breaker is classified as energy limiting class 3, meaning it limits let-through energy in a fault, reducing stress on downstream components. No neutral conductor switching — this is a line-only 1P device.
