Siemens SENTRON 5SY4108-8CC11 — D-curve 8 A MCB for high-inrush loads
The Siemens SENTRON 5SY4108-8CC11 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker with a D tripping characteristic, rated 8 A at AC and a 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. It's designed for railway applications and carries IP20 protection with connected conductors.
The 8 A rating at 35 °C derates to 7.35 A at 40 °C, 7 A at 45 °C, 6.63 A at 50 °C, 6.25 A at 55 °C, and 5.83 A at 60 °C. If the panel ambient runs at 50 °C, the breaker is good for about 6.6 A continuous — size the load accordingly.
Mounting position any. Combined terminals top and bottom — wire both sides without removing the busbar. Touch protection built in. Sealable for tamper-evident installations. Halogen-free and silicon-free for environments sensitive to outgassing.
