The Siemens 5SY4110-5 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with a single pole, characteristic A tripping curve, and a rated breaking capacity of 10 kA according to EN 60898-1 or 20 kA per IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC. It also carries a DC breaking capacity of 15 kA at 60 V per IEC 60947-2 and a UL 1077 rating of 5 kA. The characteristic A curve means it trips almost instantaneously on overload — designed to protect sensitive semiconductor loads or long cable runs where fast clearing is required, not for general motor starting.
