Rated current and thermal derating
The Siemens 5SY4113-7CC is a 1-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with a C-curve trip characteristic. At 35 °C ambient it carries a full 13 A; per the datasheet derating curve, that drops to 11.95 A at 40 °C, 11.38 A at 45 °C, 10.78 A at 50 °C, and 10.15 A at 55 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 35 °C, size the load against the derated figure, not the 13 A label rating.
Breaking capacity and standards
Rated breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898, the standard for household and similar installations. Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 3 mean it's rated for fixed-installation downstream of the service entrance, not just final circuits. The 50/60 Hz supply frequency covers both 50 Hz and 60 Hz grids without derating.
Physical fit and mounting
Occupies 1 modular width (18 mm) on DIN rail. Depth is 76 mm, height 90 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Snap-on fastening to the rail; mounting position any. The combined terminal top and bottom accept wiring without re-termination when ganging. IP20 with connected conductors — suitable for enclosed panel use, not for wet or outdoor locations without a higher-rated enclosure.
