At 40 °C ambient the continuous rating derates to 59.22 A; at 50 °C it drops to 55.19 A. If your panel runs warm, size the branch load against the derated figure, not the 35 °C headline. Breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235. The 10 kA figure governs IEC installations; the 5 kA UL rating applies in North American supplementary-protection applications. If your upstream fault current exceeds 5 kA on a UL-listed panel, this breaker is not the correct choice — step to the higher-interrupting variant in the SENTRON family. The 1-pole form factor occupies a single 18 mm modular-width unit on DIN rail.
The SENTRON 5SY series is Siemens' standard MCB line for IEC and UL markets. The 5SY4163-7CC carries the same footprint and breaking ratings as the rest of the 5SY4 family; a panel designed around a lower-current 5SY4 unit accepts this 63 A version without mechanical rework.
