The Siemens 5SY4163-7CC11 is a SENTRON 1-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 63 A with a C tripping characteristic and a 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. It is designed for railway applications and carries an IP20 rating with conductors connected. The 18 mm width occupies one modular unit on a DIN rail, and the quick-assembly fastening lets it snap into any mounting position.
What the ratings mean for your panel
The 63 A rating at 35 °C is the headline current, but the part derates to 59.22 A at 40 °C and 50.84 A at 60 °C — so if your enclosure runs warm, the actual continuous current the breaker can carry without nuisance tripping drops. The C-curve means it trips at 5–10× rated current, suited for motor and transformer inrush where a B-curve would nuisance-trip. The 10 kA SCCR per EN 60898 is the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt; verify your available fault current at the panel is below that.
Integration notes
The breaker snaps onto a DIN rail via the quick-assembly system and can be mounted in any orientation. Its 18 mm width and 76 mm depth fit standard distribution boards; the combined terminal at top and bottom accepts both busbar and cable connections. The IP20 rating means it is protected against finger contact but not against water — install inside an enclosure rated for the environment.
