The 5SY4235-7: Breaking capacity is dual-rated: 10 kA per IEC/EN 60898-1 and 15 kA per IEC/EN 60947-2. The 60947-2 figure is the one that governs when applying it in industrial panels where SCCR coordination matters.
Mounting and clearances
The breaker occupies 36 mm on the DIN rail — two modular width units. Fastens via the quick assembly system; mounting position is any, so it can be horizontal or vertical without derating the thermal trip. Protection class IP20 with conductors connected, pollution degree 3, overvoltage category III. That means it's housed in a panel with at least basic environmental sealing; no additional gasketing needed for typical factory floor switchgear.
Lifecycle and compliance
Rated under IEC/EN 60898-1, IEC/EN 60947-2, and UL1077. Halogen-free, silicon-free, and sealable. Combined terminals top and bottom simplify wiring; the tie points accept the SENTRON busbar system if you are stacking multiple breakers.
