Rated current and breaking capacity
The 5SY4235-7: Breaking capacity is dual-rated: 10 kA per IEC/EN 60898-1 and 15 kA per IEC/EN 60947-2.
The breaker occupies 36 mm on the DIN rail — two modular width units. Protection class IP20 with conductors connected, pollution degree 3, overvoltage category III. That means it's housed in a panel with at least basic environmental sealing; no additional gasketing needed for typical factory floor switchgear.
Rated under IEC/EN 60898-1, IEC/EN 60947-2, and UL1077. Halogen-free, silicon-free, and sealable. Combined terminals top and bottom simplify wiring; the tie points accept the SENTRON busbar system if you are stacking multiple breakers.
