The 10 kA rating under EN 60898 is the primary interrupting capacity for IEC-distribution panels. For UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 recognition, the same unit carries a 5 kA rating — a lower figure that matters when the panel is specified under North American supplementary-protector rules. In a mixed-standard panel, the lower of the two ratings governs the coordination study.
