Breaking capacity across two standards
The 5SY4335-7: At DC per IEC 60947-2 it holds the same 15 kA rating, so a single part number covers both AC and DC fault-clearing in the same installation. UL 1077 listed at 5 kA for supplementary protection.
C-curve and voltage envelope
Tripping characteristic C means the magnetic release trips at 5–10× rated current — the right curve for motor circuits, lighting banks, and transformer inrush where the start-up current exceeds the thermal threshold without causing nuisance trips. Rated 400 V AC (440 V max under multi-phase operation) and 60 V DC (72 V max) — the DC voltage ceiling limits its use to 60 V nominal DC circuits unless the actual operating voltage stays under the 72 V absolute maximum.
IP20 with connected conductors — the terminals are finger-safe only when wired; the breaker itself is not sealed against washdown or dust ingress.
No official successor or cross-reference on record — the part number itself is the current build standard.
