Breaking capacity and duty class
The Siemens 5SY4380-7 is a 3-pole, C-curve miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON series, rated 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC per EN 60898 and 15 kA at DC per IEC 60947-2. The C-curve trips at 5–10× rated current, making it suited for mixed resistive and inductive loads in control panels. The DC rating of 15 kA at 60 V (max 72 V) covers DC auxiliary circuits common in switchgear and automation cabinets.
