Breaking capacity and selectivity
The 10 kA rating under EN 60898 covers domestic and light commercial installations; the 35 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 is the figure you use for industrial coordination studies. That 35 kA IEC rating means this breaker can sit upstream of smaller MCBs in a distribution board without needing a current-limiting fuse ahead of it — it self-limits the let-through energy to Energy Limitation Class 3. For a 0.5 A C-curve device, that is unusually high interrupting capacity; most 0.5 A MCBs top out around 6–10 kA. The C-curve trips between 5 and 10 times rated current, so it handles moderate inrush from small transformers or capacitive loads without nuisance tripping.
Mounting and panel integration
Snaps onto DIN rail via the quick assembly system in any mounting position. Occupies 4 modular width units — 72 mm wide — and requires 70 mm installation depth behind the panel surface, with the device body 76 mm deep. Combined terminals top and bottom accept both busbar and conductor; the sealable design lets you lock the toggle position after commissioning. IP20 with connected conductors is standard for enclosed distribution boards — no special sealing needed inside the cabinet.
