The 0.5 A rating holds at 35 °C. At 40 °C it derates to 0.46 A; at 50 °C, 0.41 A; at 60 °C, 0.36 A. If your panel ambient runs 50 °C — common in a packed enclosure near a drive — the breaker's actual continuous current capacity is 0.41 A, not the nominal 0.5 A. Size your load accordingly or the bimetal strip will nuisance-trip on a warm afternoon.
Mounting position is any orientation. The combined terminal design on top and bottom accepts supply from either end — no need to flip the breaker for line/load orientation.
