The Siemens 5SY4413-7KK11 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with four poles, a C tripping characteristic, and a 13 A rated current at 400 V AC. It breaks fault currents up to 10 kA per EN 60898 and 20 kA per IEC 60947-2, which covers most industrial panel branch circuits and motor feeder applications where the upstream transformer or supply impedance keeps prospective fault current under those thresholds.
Breaking capacity and trip curve
The 10 kA rating under EN 60898 is the standard for household and similar installations; the 20 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 is what matters for industrial control panels where higher fault currents are expected. Energy limiting class 3 means this MCB limits let-through energy enough that downstream components with lower short-circuit ratings can be coordinated, provided the prospective fault current stays within the 10 kA or 20 kA envelope.
The terminal accepts solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 mm² up to 35 mm² — that covers control wiring up through main feeder tails for a sub-distribution board. Combined terminals top and bottom, sealable, with touch protection per the product feature.
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +70 °C, storage from -40 °C to +75 °C. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction, which matters for installations in rail, marine, or clean-room environments where outgassing or corrosion sensitivity is a concern. The design is explicitly for railway applications per the product design field.
Rated frequency 50/60 Hz. Maximum DC voltage rating is 72 V — usable on DC control circuits only up to that voltage, with a 15 kA breaking capacity per IEC 60947-2 on the DC side.
