Temperature derating — the real ampacity
The 5SY4506-7CC11 delivers its full 6 A at 35 °C ambient. At 40 °C it derates to 5.51 A, at 45 °C to 5.25 A, at 50 °C to 4.97 A, at 55 °C to 4.69 A, and at 60 °C to 4.37 A (–). If the panel ambient runs above 35 °C — common in sealed enclosures near motors or in a locomotive cabinet — size the load to the derated value, not the label rating.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto a DIN rail via the quick assembly system in any mounting position. Two modular width units at 36 mm wide and 76 mm deep — the depth includes the combined top and bottom terminals that accept conductors with touch protection. Installation depth is 70 mm, so leave that clearance behind the rail. IP20 with connected conductors means it is protected against finger contact but not against moisture — fit inside a closed panel or enclosure.
