The 10 kA rating per EN 60898 covers the majority of domestic and light commercial installations. The higher 20 kA per IEC 60947-2 gives the 5SY4513-6 a selectivity margin in industrial panels where upstream breakers may deliver higher prospective fault current — a spec that matters when coordinating with a 25 kA or 36 kA main breaker. The DC breaking capacity of 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 makes this MCB usable in DC sub-distribution for control circuits or battery-backed loads, not just AC branch protection.
