Breaking capacity and standards
The 5SY4605-7: The 10 kA rating under EN 60898 covers standard domestic and commercial branch-circuit fault levels. The 35 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 qualifies it for industrial panels where higher prospective fault currents are expected — the same breaker meets both standards, so you don't need separate devices for residential vs. industrial certification. The UL 1077 rating of 5 kA means it is recognized as a supplementary protector in North American panels, not a branch-circuit primary breaker.
Panel integration and environment
Mounting position is any orientation. The IP20 rating applies with conductors connected — standard for enclosed panel use. Ambient temperature range spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with derated humidity limits above 55 °C (95% RH at 55 °C, 55% at 70 °C, 35% at 75 °C).
