The Siemens 5SY4605-8CV is a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icu of 15 kA at 400 V AC, configured as 3-pole plus neutral (3P+N) and a D0.5 tripping characteristic.
The D0.5 characteristic (0.5 A rated current, D curve) is the deciding spec for the load: it protects a circuit drawing half an amp, and the D curve (10–20× In magnetic trip) handles the startup surge of a small control transformer, relay coil, or indicator lamp bank without popping on energisation. The 3P+N configuration means it switches all three phases and the neutral is switched as well — common in industrial sub-distribution where the neutral must be isolated for safety or selectivity.
