Ratings and what they mean for fit
The 5SY4625-7CC: The 25 A rating at 35 °C is the headline figure, but the derating curve matters in warm panels: at 40 °C it's 23.5 A, at 50 °C it's 21.9 A, and at 55 °C it drops to 21.05 A. If your enclosure runs hot, size the load accordingly — don't count on the full 25 A above 35 °C. The 10 kA breaking capacity under EN 60898 means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level at 440 V AC. That's sufficient for most commercial and light industrial sub-distribution boards; for higher fault currents you'd step up to an SENTRON 5SY7 series or a molded-case breaker. Pollution degree 3 and overvoltage category III suit it for fixed installations in industrial environments where conductive dust or occasional condensation is present — typical for control cabinets in mechanical engineering or factory-floor sub-distribution.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto DIN rail via the quick assembly system, occupies 4 modular width units (72 mm wide), and accepts any mounting position. The combined terminal top and bottom accept conductors with the neutral pole switched — no separate neutral bar needed for the 3P+N configuration. Installation depth is 70 mm; overall depth 76 mm. IP20 with connected conductors — fine inside a closed cabinet, not for wet or outdoor use without an enclosure.
