What this MCB does on the line
The Siemens 5SY4632-7CC is a 4-pole (3P+N) miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON family, rated 32 A at 400 V AC with a C-curve tripping characteristic. That C-curve means it holds through inrush up to about 5–10 times rated current before the thermal-magnetic trip opens — a solid fit for motorized or transformer-fed branch circuits where a short spike is normal and a sustained overload isn't. The 10 kA breaking capacity (per EN 60898) tells you it can safely interrupt a fault up to that level at 400 V without welding contacts or cascading upstream; the 5 kA rating under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235 covers North American panels. With a 4-module width (72 mm) and 76 mm depth, it lands in a standard DIN-rail enclosure — no special adapters needed.
Sealable terminals let you lock the cover after commissioning to prevent tampering.
Designed to EN 60898 (10 kA breaking capacity) and UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 (5 kA). Overvoltage category III, energy limiting class 3. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. RoHS, REACH, and CE documentation is available from the manufacturer; the part carries the F designation per DIN EN 61346-2 and DIN EN 81346-2 for circuit protection.
