Breaking capacity and what it means for your panel
The 10 kA rating per EN 60898 covers standard residential and light commercial fault levels; the 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 gives headroom for industrial panels where the prospective short-circuit current runs higher. On a DC circuit, it's rated 10 kA per EN 60898-2 at 220 V, and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 — useful for DC bus protection in drives or battery-backed systems. Energy limitation class 3 means it clips the let-through energy on a fault, which helps with downstream device coordination and reduces arc-flash stress on the panel.
Physical fit and installation
At 18 mm wide (1 modular unit), it occupies a single slot on a DIN rail. Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm — measure your enclosure depth before committing. Mounting position is any orientation, and the quick-assembly system means it clips on without tools. Combined terminals top and bottom accept both busbar and wire connections.
