The 5SY5108-7 is a 1-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with a C tripping characteristic, rated for 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 VAC per IEC/EN 60898-2 and also carries a UL1077 listing. The 10 kA SCCR at 400 VAC tells you it can safely interrupt a fault up to that level without cascading upstream; the 15 kA rating at 220 VDC per IEC 60947-2 covers DC control circuits. Single-pole construction means it switches the line only — no neutral pole, so plan for a separate neutral bar in the panel.

Rated IP20 with connected conductors — fine for a dry indoor enclosure, not for washdown zones. The operating range spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with derating above 55 °C per the humidity curve (95% RH up to 55 °C, 55% up to 70 °C, 35% at 75 °C).
The breaker carries dual certification: IEC/EN 60898-2 for residential and commercial installations, and UL1077 for supplementary protection in North American panels.
