Breaking capacity and what it means for the panel
The 5SY5113-6KK11: The 10 kA rating per EN 60898 is the standard prospective fault current this MCB can safely interrupt at 400 V AC. For DC circuits, it's rated 10 kA per EN 60898-2 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 at 220 V DC (max 250 V DC). That 15 kA figure under the industrial standard (IEC 60947-2) is the one to use if you're specifying for a DC bus that could see higher fault currents — the railway environment often demands that margin. Pollution degree 3 and overvoltage category III confirm it's suited for fixed installations inside control cabinets where conductive contamination is controlled but not absent.
DIN-rail fit and environmental limits
One modular width (18 mm), 76 mm deep, 70 mm installation depth — it occupies the same footprint as any standard 1P MCB. The quick-assembly fastening method means it clips onto the rail and stays put without a screw. Vibration resistance tested to IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz. That's the railway spec; a standard building MCB typically doesn't carry that test. Ambient temperature range -40 °C to +75 °C, with humidity derating above 55 °C. IP20 with connected conductors — fine inside a sealed enclosure, not for wet locations.
