DC arcs don't self-extinguish at zero crossing the way AC arcs do, so the breaker's arc chamber and contact gap are physically larger than a standard AC-only MCB of the same amp rating. That's why this part carries the "universal current" designation — it's not just a derated AC breaker.

Snap-on DIN rail mounting — fits any 35 mm rail in a standard IP40 or IP54 railway enclosure. The 2-pole width (2 modules, 36 mm) leaves room for adjacent auxiliary contact blocks or shunt trips if you need remote trip indication. Terminal capacity accepts up to 25 mm² conductor, which is generous for a 3 A breaker but matches the larger contact structure needed for the DC arc gap.
