What this 0.3 A C-curve MCB is for
The Siemens SENTRON 5SY5214-7 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated at 0.3 A AC (0.28 A at 40 °C) with a C tripping characteristic and a 10 kA breaking capacity per IEC/EN 60898-2 and UL1077. That low current rating makes it a fit for protecting control transformers, signal circuits, or small instrumentation supplies inside a panel — not motor circuits.
This breaker is rated 0.3 A at 35 °C, but the thermal trip element derates as ambient climbs: 0.28 A at 40 °C, 0.27 A at 45 °C, 0.26 A at 50 °C, 0.25 A at 55 °C, and 0.24 A at 60 °C.
The breaker is 76 mm deep, 36 mm wide (2 modular units), and 90 mm tall. It uses the quick-assembly snap-on fastening to DIN rail, with combined top and bottom terminals for daisy-chaining. It's sealable, halogen-free, and silicon-free.
