That 10 kA interrupting rating at 440 V DC means it can safely clear a bolted fault on a DC bus or battery bank without welding its contacts or cascading failure upstream — a real concern on high-energy DC systems where arc extinction is harder than on AC. The C-curve (5–10× In) handles moderate inrush from DC motor drives or solenoid banks without nuisance tripping, while still protecting the branch wiring.
