The 10 kA breaking capacity at both AC (EN 60898) and DC (EN 60898-2) means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 10,000 A without welding contacts or cascading failure upstream — critical for selectivity coordination in a distribution board. Temperature derating is built in: at 35 °C the full 2 A is available, but at 50 °C it drops to 1.8 A, and at 60 °C to 1.7 A.
