Breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898 on AC and 10 kA per EN 60898-2 on DC up to 880 V. The DC polarity must be observed (AC supply is polarity-independent). Rated for universal current (AC/DC), so it works on both supply types without swapping the internal mechanism. Overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2 suit it for fixed-installation distribution panels in clean indoor environments.
Temperature derating — the number that matters for dense panels
At 40 °C ambient the 0.5 A rating derates to 0.48 A; at 50 °C it drops to 0.45 A; at 60 °C it is 0.42 A. In a tightly packed DIN-rail enclosure, internal temperature can reach 50–60 °C.
IP20 with connected conductors — not rated for washdown, but fine inside a sealed enclosure.
