The Siemens 5SY5410-7CC is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker — 4-pole, C-curve, rated 10 A at 35 °C, designed for DC circuits up to 880 V with a breaking capacity of 10 kA per IEC 60947-2.
The 10 A rating at 35 °C derates to 9.32 A at 40 °C, 8.96 A at 45 °C, 8.58 A at 50 °C, and 8.19 A at 55 °C — if your panel ambient runs warm, size the upstream protection for the derated value, not the nominal. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 (±1 mm at 5 to 25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25 to 150 Hz) means it survives on a machine frame or conveyor line.
Panel fit and compliance notes
The 4-pole design does not switch the neutral (no neutral conductor switching). It is halogen-free and silicon-free — relevant for clean-room or food-and-bev lines where outgassing matters. Sealable terminals are present if your site requires tamper-proofing after commissioning. The combined terminal design (top and bottom) accepts standard screw-clamp wiring. Polarity must be observed on the DC supply cord — this is a polarized breaker. Touch protection is built in, so live parts are not exposed when the breaker is mounted in the panel.
