What this MCB covers
The SENTRON 5SY6006-7 is a 1P+N miniature circuit breaker with a C-curve trip characteristic, rated 6 A at 230 V AC and a 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898. The 1P+N design switches the neutral as well, so it fits single-phase final subcircuits where disconnecting both poles is required.
Derating and ambient conditions
At 30 °C ambient the breaker holds the full 6 A rating. At 40 °C it derates to 5.76 A, and at 45 °C to 5.64 A — so if the panel runs warm, size the load accordingly.
The housing is sealable, halogen-free and silicon-free — useful for food-and-beverage or clean-room environments where outgassing matters. Touch protection is built in (IP20 with connected conductors). The breaker is vibration-resistant per IEC 60068-2-6, and the neutral pole switches with the phase.
