It's rated 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 at 400 V AC, and 5 kA per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No.235. That C-curve means it's built for moderate inrush — think motor starters, small transformers, or lighting banks where the start-up spike is a few times full load, not the high surge of a D-curve or the pure resistive of a B-curve.
Mounting position any, so vertical or horizontal in the panel is fine. Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free — relevant for food-and-bev or clean-room environments where outgassing is a concern.
Rated for ambient temperature from -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity influence max 95% at 55 °C tapering to 35% at 75 °C. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz. Mechanical service life typical 10 000 operating cycles.
The 5SY6120-7CC is a C-curve 1-pole MCB. If your panel was specced around a 5SY4116-7CV (also 1-pole, C-curve), the key difference is the breaking capacity: the 5SY6120-7CC carries 6 kA per EN 60898 versus the 5SY4116-7CV's lower rating. No neutral switching on either.
