Breaking capacity and dual-standard certification
The 6 kA rating under EN 60898-1 covers residential and light commercial branch circuits; the 15 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 covers industrial panel applications where fault currents are higher. The same breaker also carries a 15 kA DC rating at 60 V (72 V max) per IEC 60947-2, and a 5 kA rating per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 for North American acceptance. That means the 5SY6130-7 can be specified across IEC and UL jurisdictions without swapping hardware — one BOM line for global panel builds.
Environmental and installation constraints
The breaker is rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +75 °C, with derating above 55 °C: max 95% RH at 55 °C, dropping to 55% at 70 °C and 35% at 75 °C. The housing is halogen-free and silicon-free, which matters for clean-room or high-reliability environments where outgassing can contaminate contacts or optics. Mounting position is any orientation; the IP20 rating applies with connected conductors, so the breaker lives inside a closed panel — not in a washdown zone. Depth is 76 mm overall, with 70 mm installation depth behind the panel face.
