What the D-curve and 6 kA rating mean for your panel
The D-curve means it tolerates inrush currents 10–20× the rated current before the magnetic trip fires — sized for loads with high starting peaks like small transformers, solenoid valves, or motor starters where a C-curve would nuisance-trip. Under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235 it's rated 5 kA, so check your SCCR study if the panel is built to North American code.
Mounting position is any — vertical, horizontal, or upside-down — which helps when you're packing a dense gland plate.
Environmental and compliance range
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz. Mechanical service life 10,000 operating cycles typical.
