It breaks fault currents up to 6 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235, so it fits standard North American and European distribution panels.

Temperature derating — what the 40 A rating actually delivers
The 40 A rating holds at 35 °C ambient. At 40 °C it derates to 37.6 A; at 50 °C to 35.04 A; at 55 °C to 33.68 A. If the panel runs hot — common in crowded enclosures or near heat sources — the effective current capacity drops. The surrounding temperature influence curve also caps humidity: 95 % RH up to 55 °C, 55 % RH to 70 °C, and 35 % RH to 75 °C.
The design is sealable, halogen-free, and silicon-free — useful for clean-room or sensitive electronics zones. Touch protection is included on the terminals.
