The Siemens SENTRON 5SY6315-7CC is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 1.6 A with a C-curve tripping characteristic, designed for branch-circuit protection in industrial control panels and distribution boards. It breaks fault currents up to 6 kA at 400 V AC per EN 60898, and carries a 5 kA interrupting rating under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No.235 — so it clears a hard short on a motor branch or lighting circuit without welding its contacts shut. The C-curve (5–10× In) means it tolerates the inrush of small motors, transformers, or capacitive loads without nuisance tripping, while still opening fast on a bolted fault.
Mounting and wiring — panel integration
Snaps onto DIN rail via quick-assembly system; occupies 3 width units (54 mm) and needs 70 mm clearance behind the panel for the 76 mm depth. Wire range accepts 0.75 to 35 mm² solid or stranded copper.
