It protects branch circuits against overload and short-circuit in final distribution and industrial control panels, certified to IEC/EN 60898-1 (6 kA breaking capacity) and IEC/EN 60947-2 / UL1077 (10 kA).
At 40 °C ambient the 63 A rating derates to 59.98 A; at 50 °C it drops to 56.83 A. That derating curve is the real selection number for a crowded enclosure, not the 63 A nameplate. The 6 kA rating under EN 60898 covers most final subcircuits; the 10 kA under IEC 60947-2 gives headroom for higher-fault industrial panels.
