The 6 kA breaking capacity at 230 V AC (per EN 60898) covers most commercial and light industrial panel fault levels; for UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No.235 installations the rating is 5 kA. The neutral conductor is switched, so this breaker fully isolates the downstream circuit on overcurrent or manual opening — important for maintenance isolation on single-phase sub-circuits.
At 36 mm wide (2 modular width units) and 76 mm deep, this breaker occupies two standard DIN-rail slots. Mounting position is unrestricted, so it can be installed horizontally or inverted if panel layout demands it. The quick-assembly fastening system clips onto the DIN rail without tools and releases via a screwdriver slot. IP20 with connected conductors is the standard for enclosed distribution boards; no special sealing is needed inside a rated panel.
Environmental and mechanical margins
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, with derating above 55 °C: max 95% humidity up to 55 °C, dropping to 55% at 70 °C and 35% at 75 °C. The 10 000 mechanical operating cycles typical cover decades of occasional switching in a distribution board. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 (±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz) confirms suitability for installation near rotating machinery or on factory walls subject to low-frequency vibration.
Supplementary devices and power loss
Power loss is 1.2 W per pole at rated current in hot operating state, so a 2-pole unit dissipates 2.4 W total. In a densely populated enclosure with many breakers, that heat adds up; plan ventilation or de-rate if ambient inside the panel exceeds 55 °C.
