The Siemens 5SY6520-8 is a 2-pole (1P+N) SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated 20 A with a D tripping characteristic, designed to handle high inrush currents typical of motor and transformer loads. Its 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 covers most residential and light commercial panels, while the 15 kA rating per IEC 60947-2 gives headroom for industrial distribution boards with higher fault currents. The D-curve means the magnetic trip activates at 10–20× In, so it won't nuisance-trip on motor start-up. The terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 to 35 mm², and the combined top/bottom terminals simplify daisy-chaining in a distribution board.
