Breaking capacity — what the dual rating means
The 50 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 is the industrial rating — that is the figure to use when coordinating with upstream transformers or high-fault panels. At DC (per IEC 60947-2) it holds 15 kA at 60 V (max 72 V). For UL 1077 acceptance the rating drops to 5 kA, so a North American panel schedule must use that lower figure.
Environmental and installation constraints
Rated for ambient -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity derating: 95 % RH at 55 °C, 55 % at 70 °C, 35 % at 75 °C. Overvoltage category III. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. Sealable — the enclosure can be locked to prevent tamper. Combined terminal at top and bottom; neutral conductor switching is not fitted (1-pole, line only).
Certified to IEC / EN 60898-1, IEC / EN 60947-2, and UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235. Energy limitation class 3. The manufacturer provides RoHS and REACH declarations on request; the UL/CSA listing covers North American acceptance. No special documentation beyond standard declaration of conformity is required for EU or UKCA markets.
