It's the standard go-to for protecting branch circuits in industrial control panels, distribution boards, and machinery where the inrush from small motors or transformers would nuisance-trip a B-curve. Breaking capacity is 15 kA per EN 60898-1 and 40 kA per IEC 60947-2 / UL 1077 — that dual rating means it's accepted in both residential-style distribution boards (EN 60898) and industrial panels where higher fault currents are expected (IEC 60947-2).
Fit and mounting — DIN rail, one module wide
Depth is 76 mm (70 mm installation depth), height 90 mm. Snap-on quick assembly system, any mounting position. That means it drops into any existing SENTRON or third-party distribution board without re-drilling or special adapters. IP20 with connected conductors — fine inside a closed panel.
Temperature derating — don't ignore it
The 4 A rating holds at 35 °C ambient. At 40 °C it derates to 3.76 A, at 50 °C to 3.5 A, at 60 °C to 3.22 A. Maximum ambient is 75 °C, minimum -40 °C.
