What this 1-pole C-curve MCB delivers in a panel
The Siemens 5SY7110-7CC is a 1-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with C-curve tripping characteristic, rated 15 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and 25 kA per IEC 60947-2. At 18 mm wide (1 modular unit), it fits a standard DIN-rail enclosure with no special adapter.
Where it fits — and where it doesn't
Rated for AC supply only, 50/60 Hz, with a maximum operating voltage of 440 V single-phase or multi-phase. The DC rating tops out at 72 V — don't spec this for a 125 V DC control bus. For North American panels, note the UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No.235 rating is 5 kA — a third of the IEC 60947-2 figure. If your job requires a 10 kA or 14 kA SCCR under UL, this breaker alone won't carry it; you'd need to verify the combination with the upstream fuse or breaker in the assembly listing. Ambient temperature range is -40 °C to 75 °C, with derating above 55 °C per the humidity table (max 95% RH at 55 °C, dropping to 35% at 75 °C). Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz — fine for most industrial machinery but not locomotive or off-road mobile equipment without additional qualification.
