It's the go-to for protecting lighting, control transformers, and small motor circuits in industrial panels where the inrush isn't brutal but you still need fast short-circuit clearing. The 1 A rating is your branch circuit's weak link; upstream breakers need to coordinate so this one clears first on a fault. For UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 installations, it's rated 5 kA — enough for most North American panelboards fed from a 10 kA transformer.
Where it fits — panel and environment
Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free — relevant for food processing, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom panels where outgassing or tamper-proofing matters. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 (±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz) covers most industrial machinery environments.
Combined terminals top and bottom simplify busbar or ring-tongue wiring without extra adapters.
Thermal and electrical limits
Ambient temperature range is -40 °C to 75 °C, but derate above 55 °C: max 95% RH at 55 °C, 55% RH at 70 °C, 35% RH at 75 °C. Rated for 50/60 Hz supply. Maximum DC operating voltage is 72 V — usable for DC control circuits but not for 125 VDC substation battery banks.
