Rated breaking capacity spans three standards: 15 kA at 400 V AC per EN 60898-1 (household / commercial), 50 kA at 400 V AC per IEC 60947-2 (industrial), and 5 kA per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No.235 for North American supplementary protection. The 50 kA industrial rating gives selectivity headroom downstream of a larger feeder breaker — useful in a machine control panel where fault currents can hit that level.
